The Vietnamese government is increasingly tightening regulations on Personal Data Protection (PDP), posing numerous challenges for businesses in complying with related legal requirements.
In response, AMATA and KPMG in Vietnam will co-host a seminar to provide essential knowledge on PDP regulations. In this seminar, KPMG experts will provide detailed answers to all business inquiries regarding relevant issues, as well as strategic proposals to maintain effective legal compliance.
“Businesses often struggle to effectively describe the context and purpose of data processing, identify potential violation risks, and implement risk mitigation solutions” – Tran Bao Trung, Associate Director, KPMG Law in Vietnam, shared at a recent seminar on “Legal Issues on Personal Data Protection in Vietnam”, co-hosted by KPMG and Amata Industrial Park.
Mr. Trung outlined a comprehensive roadmap to ensure compliance with the personal data protection decree, which includes:
- Reviewing and updating data processing procedures
- Preparing impact assessment reports
- Developing incident response plans
These measures help businesses adhere to legal requirements, safeguard customer rights, minimize risks, and build customer trust.
