
On the morning of March 18, 2025, The Groundbreaking Ceremony of Lite-On Quang Ninh Factory officially took place at Amata City Ha Long Industrial Park, under the witness of Provincial Leaders and various enterprises within the industrial park. Representatives of Amata, H.E. Sadoshima Shiro, Executive Advisor of AMATA Corporation PCL and former Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, Mr. Aukkares Choochouy, Director of Amata VN PCL, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, General Director of Amata City Ha Long and managers attended the event.

The Lite-On Quang Ninh Factory has a total investment capital of 690 million and occupies a 30-hectare land lot, specializing in manufacturing electronic computer components, cameras, wireless network connection devices, power converters, electric vehicle chargers, car lights, plastic products, and many other electronic devices. After coming into operation, the factory is expected to provide the market with nearly 124 million products per year, creating thousands of jobs.

In his remarks, H.E. Sadoshima Shiro, Executive Advisor of AMATA Corporation PCL and former Ambassador of Japan to Thailand said: “Lite-On Technology Group’s decision to invest 690 USD in Amata City Ha Long not only demonstrates their confidence in Amata’s business environment but also reinforces Vietnam’s position as a key player in the global electronics supply chain. Lite-On’s presence is a testament to the growing attractiveness of our industrial ecosystem, supported by world-class infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and a strategic location. We are fully committed to working closely with Lite-On to ensure their successful setup and long-term operations here.”
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh People’s Committee, appreciated Lite-on Technology Group’s decision to land the project at Amata City Ha Long Industrial Park. “ This is a core area and new growth for Quang Ninh province to be empowered by smart, modern industrial, service, urban, and seaport zones, as well as high-tech processing, manufacturing, and industrial development centers”, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy said.
The project is expected to begin Phase 1 production in November 2025, with a capacity of more than 64 million products per year. Lite-On Vietnam partners with renowned global brands, including Fuji Xerox, Kyocera, ASUS, Amazon, IBM, Motorola, Sony, Samsung, Sharp, Nokia, and Lenovo.
