Forbes Asia has honoured 15 leading philanthropists who have shown commitment and donated generously to causes close to their hearts, with Thailand’s Vikrom Kromadit, founder and chairman of Amata Corp, among those listed.

To mark his 70th birthday in March, he signed a will stating he’ll donate 99% of his personal assets—estimated to run into billions of baht, including 7.5 billion baht ($214 million) of Amata shares—when he dies to the Amata Foundation. He previously gifted more than 2 billion baht of assets to the foundation he created in 1996.
