Delving into the expansion strategy, AMATA expressed its intent to develop an Industrial-Urban-Service Park project in Chau Duc district, the area of the former Ba Ria – Vung Tau province (now part of Greater HCMC), with a minimum total investment of $180 million USD.

Mr. Thai Hoang Nam, General Director of Amata City Long Thanh Joint Stock Company, elaborated on the strategic plan:

“This project will target high-tech and logistics industries, developed under the Smart Industrial-Urban model. AMATA has partnered with a Japanese consultancy firm to study feasibility and master planning, and we highly anticipate receiving support from the HCMC government in investment promotion, connectivity, and completing investment procedures.

In response to the Ambassador and the enterprise representatives, Chairman of the HCMC PC, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, acknowledged the effective operations and significant contributions of Thai businesses in Vietnam and HCMC. He emphasized that Thailand is a major investor in Vietnam, with effective operations in key sectors such as industry, commerce, tourism, and aviation. The city is committed to fostering cooperation and supporting enterprises, ensuring favorable conditions regarding procedures, infrastructure, and connectivity.

HCMC leadership assessed AMATA’s project as fitting the region’s industrial and logistics development orientation, and subsequently assigned the Department of Finance as the focal point to coordinate and guide AMATA in working with relevant agencies to review planning and finalize necessary documents.

We welcome businesses to invest and operate in HCMC. We wish you success and a win-win partnership with the city; we are always ready to accompany you,” Mr. Duoc affirmed. He expressed confidence that, given AMATA’s expertise and capacity in developing modern industrial and urban complexes, this project will contribute to fostering regional linkage and creating momentum for Southern economic development.
